Inauguration

Though Sharjah is a heritage and old city with several settlements which are many years old but Shees Park is a very recently established spot. On October 15, 2020, the Ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi inaugurated Shees Park and opened it for public to enjoy yet another beautiful location in Sharjah.

Location

Shees Park has been named after the village of Shees in Khor Fakkan, Sharjah and is located nearby it. It has been set up as a recreational park and you would be amazed to know that it has been constructed in only 8 months citing the vision to provide maximum outdoor facilities to the people of Sharjah and visitors. You will be glad to know that there is not entry fee to the park and you can enjoy the facility free of cost.

Area and Facilities

Shees Park covers an area of 11,362 square meters which is quite sufficient space for such kind of recreational spot and can host hundreds of people simultaneously.

When we look at the facilities which are built there to capture our attention, are just superb and quite interesting.

The biggest attraction seems to be the beautiful artificial waterfall which has been built as an icing on the cake. It is 25 meter high and cascades into a beautiful lake that makes it a perfect spot for taking pictures and shooting awesome filming scenes.

When we look at the surroundings, the waterfall also includes 506 meters of walkways throughout three mountain terraces which is a great engineering effort. These mountain terraces are connected by stone stairs which lead you to the main viewing platform at a height of 30 meters from the main park level. The sight is just amazing from the platform and is a soothing experience for the beholders.

There is no way that we can forget children at such spots and ignore their entertainment facility. Your children will be pleased to find a dedicated play area for them and enjoy to their fullest with the swings, slides and see-saws during their visit to the park.

In surroundings of the play area, you can sit with your family and friends in 32 shaded seating areas and see your children enjoy in the play area. In the meantime, you can satisfy your craving after walking through the mountain terraces with the tasty food, the restaurants and cafés offer at Shees Park. You can also avail the facility of barbeque area and prepare your own food.

Besides natural beauty, entertainment is another factor which has been taken into consideration by building an outdoor theater accommodating up to 70 persons at a time. The fun shows await you here to enjoy your stay at the park and filmmakers may also avail this facility in many ways.
